Adam is off saving someone from financial ruin before we leave, so I'll explain what this blog is all about!
Thanksgiving has always been a weird limbo for me, stuff my face with food, but you don't get any presents. Sometimes you even have to wake up insanely early to buy something for yourself. Last year, my friends and I talked and talked and talked about doing something and going somewhere, but ended up staying local (which was great in its own way), but I had to get out this time around.
During the furlough, some friends of ours were bored and found cheap tickets to Paris, Dublin and Tel Aviv--- since Adam has never been to Europe and I have never been to France, we pulled the trigger and decided to leave DC for 8 days!
With begging and pleading from our friends, we decided to do a blog for our trip. We are going to answer the same questions every day and will post our responses side by side. You can see us seeing Paris for the first time, from a guy's perspective and a girl's perspective.
I'm excited for this trip because Adam and I are "friends" with a regular standing New Girl viewing party and our regular group of friends doing dinners and outings, but I have been purposefully avoiding him for the last 4 weeks. When we start talking I think "save it for the plane!" or "wait, are you telling me a personal story? We need something to learn about when we get there!"
P.S. Adam and I will not be reading each other's responses until we're home. This means catty comments, confessions from abroad and some really dark stuff. Prepare yourself.
So here goes!
Au revoir!
Domineau
Groupies, here are the questions we will answer each day:
What did you do today?
What was your favorite part of the day?
What was the worst part of the day?
What was the best thing you ate today?
What did you learn today that you found interesting?
Did you learn anything about Domineau/Adam today?
How does Domineau/Adam travel?
How is tomorrow going to be different?
